My Review:
ASDFGHJKL This new anime is really my type! Full with ikemen and about some mysterious power, yokai, ayakashi or demon XDD And the big point is because the manga of this anime is one of Abe Miyuki's masterpieces! If you don't know who she is, visit here to know one of his awesome manga. Some blogs said that Hakkenden is shoujo anime but I believe its genre is YAOI because Abe Miyuki is yaoi mangaka. Beside in the story, the characters are all males except one, Hamaji. But Hamaji is just cameo and does nothing important except she is the lead character's step-sister! And the most important thing is this anime full with yaoi smell (you will know if you watch it). The way Sousuke and Shino interact is really provocative and Genpachi said Shino is his type. Summary: I can say proudly that the genre is Shounen-ai or soft yaoi!
I can't say more about the end of this anime since it's still airing but I can review about the beginning of story. The start of the story is about when Ootsuka village is destroyed and how Shino, Hamaji and Sousuke survive. They survive because Satomi gave Murasame to Shino. Murasame has strong power but the price to pay is as great as its power. Shino now became immortal and trapped in 13 years old boy when he is already 18 years old.
I think everyone will confuse why in the beginning Shino was a girl but after that Shino become a boy. It's because Shino is actually a boy, a man and a guy! In Japan, there is this believe that family in Japan who have weak son will rise their son as a girl so he can grow up healthy. That is why Shino wore girl yukata.
The main story is about Shino and Sousuke must find the other owners of the beads. Look at the character pic above, there is bead on the right corner. Shino's bead is "Devotion" and Sousuke's bead is "Duty". Even it's so confusing, this anime worth to watch ^^ The confusion will more and more lessen as more episodes come.
Anyway. I love Genpachi the most in this anime >/////< Because he is so handsome with that military uniform!!! (have military uniform fetish).
